	Nonpartisan teamwork with the City of Lafayette, the Mayor's office, and the LFD and LPD has led to contracts of cooperation and sharing of resources to save lives. Jerry Smelser negotiated one such contract on behalf of the Township Board and Julie Collins negotiated the most recent one.
