Some candidates I appreciate for their stand for family, humanity, integrity, safety, development, and principled pluralism in keeping with the U.S. Constitution include: Alan Keyes running for U.S. Senate in Illinois, Mitch Daniels running for Gov. of Indiana, and Marvin Scott running for U.S. Senate in Indiana.
George Bush united the country after 9-11 and the other Party's primary divided it after previously reading the same intelligence reports and agreeing with the President. Subsequently they have blocked his judicial nominees including several qualified minorites from even getting voted on. They've railed about the tax breaks, said the war on terror is wrong, and then faked at their convention like they were OK with the war and were mighty men of war themselves. All of this and more, if it will get a vote for 'anyone but Bush'. This was a pathetic tactic in my opinion. Some reasons why I sometimes refer to myself, while melanin deprived as a 'conservative of color'; Conservatives of Color whom I admire.
Give me Ascroft over Janet Reno anyday, Colin Powell over Madaline Albright anyday. I believe Condoleeza Rice knows a whole lot more about foreign policy, truth, and a measured and sane responsed than Michael Moore or Barbara Streisand. I do not support equivocation of definitions of marriage that are not one man and one woman in a committed relationship. Forgive me but I do not find elective abortions a dignified choice nor do I think a ban approved by 2/3rd majorities in both houses on the barbaric practice of partial birth abortion should be made null by an activist judge or two. If you loathe Bush you have to really hate me. I want more tax cuts. I think we found WMDs and others went to Syria and Iran. I think we went to war against Iraq too slowly. I don't think the troops are in the wrong war as a diversion to fighting terrorists. I do not think the Patriot Act went far enough to protect our borders and our airports. I do not think prisoners of war from other countries have a right to our criminal justice system. I rejoice that Afghanistan and Iraq women and children are freer and safer. I rejoice that recreational rapists Uday and Kusay are dead and their evil mass murderer father is in jail. I'm overall quite pleased with our military personally and their worthy objectives and their implementation of such objectives. And I do not think our president is a terrorist nor that such claims and ads left unrefuted by those sympathetic to such, are uniting our country in either civility or sanity. Forgive stating the obvious.
